Boom Boom Afridi completed 7000 runs in One-Day Internationals (ODI) during a match of 2012 Asia Cup against India, on 18th of March, at the Shere Bangla national stadium, Mirpur.

 

Afridi has completed seven thousand runs with an average of 23.59 in 341 ODIs, including 6 tons and 33 fifties.He is one of the most exciting ODI players with a strike-rate of 113.76, which is the third highest in the world.

Afridi also holds the record for the most sixes in ODI cricket, totalling 297 in 341 matches, earning him the title of “Boom Boom Afridi”. Though, usually known as a risk-taker, Afridi holds control over the audience with his flamboyance and hard-hitting, once he gets going.

Apart from batting, the 32-year-old Khan has also become a very handy bowler over time. He, with his crafty bowling, has led his side several times towards victory, including the 2009 World Twenty20 Cup, and is the highest wicket taker overall in the 20-over format of the game.
