Like all my team-mates I was elated to win the NatWest Series ODI match at the Oval. We got off to a bad start and I felt a lot of responsibility to stabilize the innings and keep the scoreboard ticking over. My 64 from 86 balls wasn't my quickest ever scoring but, in partnership with Asad Shafiq, we were able to slowly re-build the innings and give ourselves a defendable total. We thought we were 30+ runs short of what we needed on the pitch, but some phenomenal both-ways reverse swing bowling from Umar Gul clinched the match for us - and I was really pleased to have contributed to our victory as top scorer.
